MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 31st January 2024. The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a prestigious Takeover Parade Ceremony at the RBN's Parade Square to officially welcome Warrant Officer 1 Irwan bin Haji Bungsu, RBN as the new Sergeant Major.
Upon arrival, the newly appointed RBN Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer 1 Irwan bin Haji Bungsu, received an Honorary Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour. The Guard, comprised of both Base and Fleet personnel, was led by Warrant Officer 2 Hj Md Amirrul Hashim bin Hj Abdullah.
The ceremony opened with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Ustaz Sabqi bin Nassar, followed by an address from Warrant Officer 1 Irwan. In his speech, he expressed confidence in leading responsibly due to the strong existing cooperation within the RBN and emphasized his unwavering commitment to achieving the Navy's vision and mission. He reminded all personnel to uphold their loyalty, discipline, and organizational readiness, while fostering effective leadership.
Following the address, the ceremony transitioned to refreshments at the Warrant Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Petty Officers' Mess. It concluded with a group photo and Closing Doa.
